Magnolia Dyslexia Therapy was created out of my love for helping children with dyslexia find their way in the world of reading while discovering their individual greatness!  After 35 years as an educator in the public school setting, I felt the call to retire and create my own business as a dyslexia therapist.  Now, I am offering private therapy from my childhood home on Magnolia Street!

My teaching career morphed from classroom teacher to dyslexia therapist after one of our own children was identified with dyslexia.  It was then that I felt God's calling to become a dyslexia therapist.  My dyslexia training began in 2004 at the LEAD center.  My original training was specific to the Alphabetic Phonics program but subsequently led to training that included the Take Flight program at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.  The last 18 years of my teaching career were spent as a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) in the public school setting.

I am currently offering 2 types of services for students in the Denton, Texas area:

• COMPLETE DYSLEXIA PROGRAM:  If you have a child who has been identified with dyslexia and is not able to receive dyslexia instruction because of their school situation, I can provide a complete program of instruction for your child using the Take Flight program. 

• SUPPORT SERVICES:  If your child has been identified with dyslexia and is currently receiving dyslexia services within their school setting but you would like for your child to receive additional support, I can provide support services specific to their academic needs.
